Job Description
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT 1. Financial Reporting & Month-End CloseClose Process: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing processes to ensure deadlines are met.Statement Preparation: Generate accurate balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Variance Analysis: Compare actual monthly financial results against budgets to identify and explain spending trends. 2. General Ledger & ReconciliationOversight: Review, approve, and post complex journal entries and adjustments.Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, intercompany accounts, and balance sheet items weekly.Asset Management: Track capital expenses, manage depreciation schedules, and update fixed asset registers. 3. Compliance, Tax & AuditAudit Support: Gather financial data, create working papers, and act as the primary contact for external auditors.Tax Filings: Assist with the preparation and timely filing of local, state, and corporate tax returns (including sales and payroll tax).Internal Controls: Monitor and improve internal accounting processes to safeguard assets and prevent errors. 4. Leadership & Process OptimizationTeam Mentorship: Guide junior accountants by reviewing their work and answering daily technical questions.Efficiency: Automate manual tasks and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to save department time. 5.Treasury & Cash Flow Management: Monitor daily cash balances, forecast weekly cash inflows and outflows, and optimize banking arrangements to ensure the company maintains healthy liquidity.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a highly related business field.
- 5+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience.
- Strong, working knowledge of GAAP.
- Advanced Excel.
- ERP Experience.
