Job Description
As a Logistics Executive at Rafif General Trading & Contracting Co, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the supply chain process for our trading and contracting operations. Your role will involve coordinating logistics activities, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and maintaining efficient inventory management. You will work closely with suppliers, customers, and other internal teams to support our business objectives and enhance customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supply Chain Management: Oversee the entire supply chain process, from procurement to delivery, ensuring all steps are carried out efficiently and effectively.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with transportation providers, shipping agencies, and freight forwarders to ensure timely and cost-effective transport of goods.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, manage inventory replenishment, and conduct regular audits to minimize stock loss and ensure accurate inventory records.
- Documentation: Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs documents.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues related to logistics operations, including delays, discrepancies, and claims.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on logistics performance, shipment status, and inventory levels, and analyse data to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, sales, and other departments to forecast demand and ensure seamless operations.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international laws, regulations, and standards pertaining to logistics and transportation.
- Cost Management: Identify opportunities to reduce logistics costs while maintaining service quality and efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in a trading or contracting company.
- Strong knowledge of logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of local and international shipping regulations and procedures is a plus.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and practices.
