Job Description

The Commis II – Chapati/Paratha Maker will specialise in preparing dough and producing chapati and paratha while maintaining consistency in size, texture, taste, and appearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare dough for chapati and paratha
• Measure and portion ingredients accurately
• Knead, roll, and shape dough efficiently
• Prepare chapati and paratha according to standard procedures
• Cook products to the required quality standards
• Maintain consistency in size, texture, taste, and appearance
• Prepare adequate mise en place before production
• Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness of the preparation and cooking areas
• Minimise food wastage
• Assist senior chefs with other kitchen duties when required
• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures

Requirements

• Male candidates only
• Strong practical knowledge of chapati and paratha preparation
• Good knowledge of dough preparation and handling
• Ability to produce consistent quality and quantity
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety
• Ability to work in a high-volume food-production environment
• Good physical stamina and teamwork skills
