Job Description

The Kitchen Equipment Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of commercial kitchen equipment to ensure uninterrupted kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, and repair commercial kitchen equipment such as ovens, ranges, fryers, grills, dishwashers, steamers, refrigerators, and freezers.

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on gas, electrical, and mechanical kitchen equipment.

  • Diagnose equipment faults and carry out timely repairs to minimize downtime.

  • Ensure all equipment complies with safety standards and operational guidelines.

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintain maintenance logs and service reports.

  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting operations.

  • Liaise with external vendors and suppliers for specialized repairs and spare parts.

  • Ensure proper handling of tools, spare parts, and maintenance inventory.

  • Follow company policies, safety procedures, and HACCP standards.
