• Ensuring food preparation areas are clean and hygienic.
• Sorting, storing, and distributing ingredients.
• Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting, and cooking foodstuffs and helping to prepare basic mise-en place for designated section
• Learns and adheres to brand standards. Assist in preparing menu items and section setup
• Strives to learn to improve cooking skills and expands knowledge about food products and cooking techniques.
• Cleaning food preparation equipment, and other kitchen tools or areas.
• Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the immediate supervisor or Sous Chef.
• Keep high standards of personal hygiene and clean uniforms.
• To be fully aware of SOP's and chemicals used in the kitchen.
• To adhere to company procedures regarding food labelling, date tags and storage.
• Basic knowledge of FIFO and stock management.
• To assist in receiving and storage of deliveries.
• To attend all training sessions as required by chef-in-charge.
• To comply with all instructions from the immediate supervisors/Sous Chef.
• Always follow Occupational Health & Safety to maintain healthy work environment.
• Responsible to maintain Food logs and due diligence for designated sections.
• Participate with other sections to build teamwork.
• Comply to all duties and responsibilities as guide by Chef-in-Charge.
• Always maintain and follow food safety regulations and norms.
• Maintain discretion and maturity in handling sensitive or confidential data.
• Working closely with different departments and stakeholders.
• Other tasks assigned by the management.
