Job Description

As a Commis Chef, you will be an integral part of the kitchen team, assisting in the preparation and cooking of various dishes under the guidance of senior chefs. Your role involves maintaining high culinary standards, ensuring food safety, and contributing to the overall efficiency of kitchen operations.

1. Food Preparation & Cooking

  • Ingredient Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, and measure ingredients accurately.

  • Cooking Assistance: Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items according to recipes and menu specifications.

  • Cooking Techniques: Utilize various cooking methods such as grilling, frying, boiling, and baking.

2. Kitchen Hygiene & Safety

  • Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment.

  • Food Safety: Adhere to food safety regulations, including proper food storage and temperature control.

  • Waste Management: Dispose of kitchen waste properly and minimize food wastage.

3.Menu Support & Specials

  • Recipe Adherence: Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Specials Preparation: Assist in the preparation of daily specials and seasonal menu items.

  • Feedback: Provide input on menu items based on customer preferences and feedback.
