JOB TITLE: RUNNER

DEPARTMENT: FOOD AND BEVERAGE

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient restaurant service by delivering food and beverages from the kitchen to the guests promptly. They support servers by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with guest needs, and ensuring a smooth dining experience.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner

• Ensure hot food is served hot and cold food is served cold

• Assist servers in providing exceptional guest experiences

• Present menu, answer basic questions, and make recommendations

• Keep tables pre-bussed and maintain restaurant cleanliness

• Support in refilling drinks and attending to guest requests

• Follow all service timing standards and restaurant policies

• Assist in consolidating service to increase table turns

• Handle food and beverage orders with care and accuracy

• Adhere to safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines

• Assist in the responsible service of alcoholic beverages

• Follow all cash handling and POS system policies

• Report to work on time and in proper uniform

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least one year of experience in a restaurant, hotel, or similar setting

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service procedures

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment

• Comfortable carrying trays and handling food safely

• Fluent in English for effective communication

• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
