The Commis Chef (I/II/III) is responsible for assisting in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining the highest quality standards in an international kitchen. Working under the supervision of senior chefs, the Commis Chef ensures smooth kitchen operations, follows food safety standards, and contributes to a positive work environment.
Assist in food preparation and cooking as per menu specifications
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
Ensure ingredients are stocked and properly stored
Support senior chefs in plating and presentation of dishes
Follow hygiene, safety, and sanitation guidelines (HACCP)
Assist in receiving and inspecting food supplies
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Minimize food wastage and ensure portion control
Assist in menu planning and dish development
Work efficiently during peak hours to meet kitchen demands
Adhere to kitchen policies, procedures, and quality standards
Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to team success
High school diploma or equivalent
Formal culinary training or relevant experience in an international kitchen
Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Physical stamina to stand for long hours and lift heavy objects
