Job Description

We are looking for a talented and passionate Junior Sous Chef – Bakery & Pastry to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing the bakery and pastry section, ensuring high-quality production, creativity, and efficiency. If you have a flair for desserts, breads, and confectionery, this role is perfect for you!

  • Assist the Sous Chef and Head Pastry Chef in daily bakery and pastry operations.
  • Prepare, bake, and decorate pastries, bread, cakes, and other baked goods.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Experiment with new recipes and innovative dessert ideas.
  • Monitor ingredient inventory and ensure timely restocking.
  • Supervise and train junior pastry staff and kitchen assistants.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and food handling standards.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry decoration, and chocolate work.
  • Creativity in designing and plating desserts.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
