We are looking for a talented and passionate Junior Sous Chef – Bakery & Pastry to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing the bakery and pastry section, ensuring high-quality production, creativity, and efficiency. - Assist the Sous Chef and Head Pastry Chef in daily bakery and pastry operations.
- Prepare, bake, and decorate pastries, bread, cakes, and other baked goods.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Experiment with new recipes and innovative dessert ideas.
- Monitor ingredient inventory and ensure timely restocking.
- Supervise and train junior pastry staff and kitchen assistants.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and food handling standards.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry decoration, and chocolate work.
- Creativity in designing and plating desserts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
