Job Description
The Guest Service Associate (GSA) – is responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a seamless dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a warm personality, and the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally. The GSA plays a key role in enhancing guest satisfaction and upholding the restaurant’s service standards.
Guest Reception & Seating:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and walk-ins efficiently to optimize seating arrangements.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Reservation & Guest Management:
- Handle booking inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms.
- Confirm reservations and manage waitlists during peak hours.
- Address special requests, such as birthday celebrations or dietary preferences.
Customer Service & Interaction:
- Provide guests with information about the menu, specials, and restaurant services.
- Handle guest concerns and complaints professionally, ensuring quick resolution.
- Assist in upselling promotions or special events to enhance the dining experience.
Coordination & Communication:
- Work closely with the restaurant team (servers, chefs, and managers) to ensure smooth operations.
- Relay guest preferences and feedback to the relevant departments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front desk or reception area.
Billing & Administrative Duties:
- Assist with processing payments, generating bills, and handling invoices when required.
- Maintain accurate records of reservations, guest preferences, and feedback.
- Follow restaurant policies, health, and safety regulations.
