Job Description

The Commis III - Pastry is responsible for assisting in the preparation, baking, and presentation of high-quality pastry items. This role is ideal for a passionate individual eager to develop their pastry skills in a professional kitchen environment. The candidate must follow recipes, maintain hygiene standards, and support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations.

Pastry Preparation & Baking:

  • Assist in preparing a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, and bread as per standard recipes.
  • Measure and mix ingredients accurately following instructions from senior chefs.
  • Ensure correct baking and finishing techniques are applied for high-quality results.

Kitchen Operations & Hygiene:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP).
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients to prevent food wastage.

Support & Teamwork:

  • Assist Commis I & II and Pastry Chef in daily pastry operations.
  • Follow instructions and execute tasks efficiently during busy service hours.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to maintain smooth kitchen operations.

Inventory & Equipment Handling:

  • Monitor stock levels of pastry ingredients and report shortages.
  • Handle kitchen tools and bakery equipment properly to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Follow maintenance guidelines for pastry equipment and report malfunctions.
