Job Description
The Offshore Waiter is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to personnel aboard offshore facilities. This role ensures a pleasant dining experience by efficiently serving meals, maintaining cleanliness in dining areas, and adhering to health and safety standards.
Meal Service:
- Set up dining areas before meal times, ensuring all utensils, condiments, and beverages are readily available.
- Serve meals to crew members promptly and courteously, accommodating special dietary needs as required.
- Clear tables after meals, ensuring the dining area is clean and organized.
Beverage Service:
- Prepare and serve beverages, including hot and cold drinks, ensuring availability throughout meal periods.
- Monitor beverage supplies and replenish as necessary.
Sanitation and Cleanliness:
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in dining and service areas.
- Assist in cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces as needed.
- Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure garbage areas are clean.
Inventory and Stock Management:
- Assist in monitoring inventory levels of dining supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
- Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing food and beverage supplies.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Participate in safety drills and meetings as required.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with kitchen staff and other catering personnel to ensure efficient meal service.
- Assist in other areas of the catering department as directed by the supervisor.
