Job Description

The Offshore Waiter is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to personnel aboard offshore facilities. This role ensures a pleasant dining experience by efficiently serving meals, maintaining cleanliness in dining areas, and adhering to health and safety standards.

Meal Service:

  • Set up dining areas before meal times, ensuring all utensils, condiments, and beverages are readily available.
  • Serve meals to crew members promptly and courteously, accommodating special dietary needs as required.
  • Clear tables after meals, ensuring the dining area is clean and organized.

Beverage Service:

  • Prepare and serve beverages, including hot and cold drinks, ensuring availability throughout meal periods.
  • Monitor beverage supplies and replenish as necessary.

Sanitation and Cleanliness:

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in dining and service areas.
  • Assist in cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces as needed.
  • Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure garbage areas are clean.

Inventory and Stock Management:

  • Assist in monitoring inventory levels of dining supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
  • Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing food and beverage supplies.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage practices.
  • Participate in safety drills and meetings as required.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with kitchen staff and other catering personnel to ensure efficient meal service.
  • Assist in other areas of the catering department as directed by the supervisor.
